Jhol Momo
Nepalese soup momos — tomato-sesame broth, hand-pleated dumplings
What jhol momo is
"Jhol" means broth in Nepali. Where a steamed momo arrives dry next to a chutney, a jhol momo sits half-submerged in a warm, spiced tomato-sesame broth — sipped alongside, soaked into the wrapper as you eat. It is the Nepalese answer to ramen and dumplings in one bowl.
At IndoCave we hand-pleat each momo to order, steam it, then ladle the jhol over — thick with toasted sesame, simmered tomato, garlic, ginger and a calibrated chilli base.
How we make it
- Each momo is pleated by hand — usually 16 pleats per dumpling.
- Wrappers are rolled fresh in-house, never pre-bought.
- The broth is built from toasted sesame, fresh tomato, garlic, ginger and house spice blend.
- Steamed to order, ladled hot, packed for delivery so the jhol stays warm.
What it pairs with
Jhol momo is filling on its own. If you want a fuller spread, order it alongside Chilli Chicken or a half-rice; the broth balances the heat of our Indo-Chinese mains.
Order & delivery
